GUIDELINES FOR THE SACRAMENT OF MARRIAGE

  1. The Nuptial Mass on weekdays is fixed for 5 pm and on Sundays, it is the scheduled 5.30 pm Mass.
  2. Booking the Mass well in advance, does in anyway mean, that yours will be the only nuptials at the Mass. Marriage is sacrament that involves the entire community. Other couples are also permitted to marry at the same Mass. The couples will meet and decide about sharing arrangements regarding the Liturgy, the Choir and the decorations.
  3. On Sundays, the general Liturgy of the day with one special intention for the couple will be used. The Church appointed choir will sing. No seats will be reserved but the wedding guests are welcome to come early and occupy the front pews.
  4. Kindly intimate the priest if you have had a civil marriage or will have one.
  5. The front six pews may be decorated but no sticking with tape is allowed. Please tie up the decorations to the pews. The floral arrangements should be simple, as the focus of the Mass is Jesus, the Altar of sacrifice and priest. Do not make floral arrangements your focus.
  6. Photographers/videographers may take photographs from the front sides only and are strictly not allowed to click from the top, near the altar. Please do not treat the Church as a studio. Photographs are not to be taken in the Sanctuary, where the Tabernacle, Altar ad Cross are, but may be taken below. Please do not delay the next service.
  7. Bursting of crackers is strictly forbidden, at any point during the celebration or afterwards, in the Church premises or outside. It disturbs the Liturgy, pollutes the atmosphere and is an environmental hazard.
  8. Kindly make sure that all are dressed modestly, especially the bride and groom and those performing a liturgical function like reading, singing etc. Respect for God and his Church must be maintained at all costs.
  9. The Church is a house of prayer. Please maintain silence in Church.
  10. No pets are allowed in the Church. Kindly also take care of little children.
  11. For the signing of the Register only the couple and the two witness may come forward.
  12. Only the bridal car is allowed to be parked alongside the Church in front. All other cars will have to be parked on the ground behind the Church.
