The Hindi speaking group of the parish includes about 300 Domestic/Migrants. Hindi mass is celebrated at 4 pm every Sunday. Every Sunday after mass they meet at Good Shepherd Convent. Sr.Usha assists them with preparing the following Sundays liturgy.
They take active part in Karam festival, Christmas, Way of the Cross and Easter. They are prepared for Baptism and Confirmation. Sr.Vinaya keeps the group together by organising awareness programmes e.g.Health issues, Just wages, weekly off, medical assistance and to bring out the best from them and create more leaders.
The parish is very supportive and encourages them in all their activities.First Hindi mass was celebrated on 5th January 1997. They all love to sing and dance. The parish fathers not only see their pastoral needs but also assist them financially. During lent, talks and confessions are arranged. Good Shepherd Sisters always offer their lawns to the group to carry out their entertainment programs.
Fr.Jerome during his tenure asked them to participate in the washing of the feet and five of them came forward. They cherish this experience very close to their hearts. It was a big change in the parish.
